Sermon Summary: On this first Sunday of 2018, we will focus on the topic of prayer. This will help us as we continue the “21 Days of Prayer and Fasting” that began on Jan 1. Acts 2:42-47 teaches us about the life and fellowship within the very first church in Jerusalem. Verse 42 says And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayers. As we begin the New Year of 2018, let us follow in the footprints of the early Christians. There are three reasons why Harvey Oaks Baptist Church is to be devoted to corporate prayer…

  1. Corporate prayer will strengthen our fellowship with one another.
  2. Corporate prayer will cause us to depend on God more.
  3. Corporate prayer will unleash God’s power.
