Sermon Summary: Today is Sanctity of Life Sunday. Tomorrow is the 45 year anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion in the United States. (Roe V Wade). Since then, there has been over 60 million abortions. Sanctity of Life Sunday is a day to recognize the value and rights of the unborn. The Bible is clear that God is the author of life within the womb. King David proclaimed: “You have knitted me together in my mother’s womb” (Palm 139:13). Today’s passage, Matthew 19:13-15, focuses on Jesus. love for the children. There are three things we can learn from this passage…

  1. Jesus welcomed and loved children.
  2. Jesus prayed for children.
  3. Jesus made it clear that children matter and they can teach us.
