Summary

Sermon Summary: This morning Pastor Bryan will continue his sermon series in the Old Testament Book of Ruth. We will explore chapter 2 where Ruth, the daughter-in-law of Naomi, decided to glean in a field during the harvest. According to Old Testament Law, the poor, sojourners, widows, and orphans were allowed to glean the fields. Ruth just “happened” to go to the field of Boaz. From Ruth chapter 2, there are three applications…

  1. Since God has a special place in His heart for widows, we are to show kindness toward them.
  2. God is working out His plan in our lives.
  3. God shows His kindness to us through the kindness of others.
